Telecom Analyst
Responsible for conducting broadband research and developing custom publications for clients. The analyst will review technical publications, conduct deep analysis of the market and the products available, interact with clients, and author materials related to this field.
Qualifications
-
Excellent understanding of the telecom industry and knowledge of the latest trends in the Information technology industry

Minimum 5+ years proven experience in the broadband access field, preferably in a market research company or a telecom equipment/component company

Strong technical background

Good analytic skills

Knowledge of foreign language(s) a plus
Senior Economist
Responsible for performing research and supervising studies on the impact of broadband and technology on urban, regional and rural communities. These studies will be tailored to the specific requirements of clients. Must be able to present economic data in formats that is understandable to various stakeholders.
Qualifications
-
Graduate degree in economics, resource economics, or closely related field

Graduatedegree in public policy or related field will be a plus but not required

Theory coursework in microeconomics and econometrics

Background in telecommunications will be a plus but not required

Minimum of two years experience in policy-related economic research
Engineering & Operating Strategist
Responsible for developing and managing operating strategy and financial decisions related to core infrastructures and broadband (Wireless & Fiber) technology investments. These evaluations are tailored to the specific requirements of the unique project. Must be able to develop and present engineering economic decisions and pro-forma documentation for investment “Go/No Go” decisions. The candidate must have excellent communication skills and be able to interact with senior management, engineering, finance as well as different levels of stakeholders within government and the private sector.
Qualifications

Must have a strong understanding of engineering economics, pro-forma creation, decision analysis and scenario modeling

BS or MS in technology management, finance, engineering or closely related field

Minimum of three years experience with project management and related tools & techniques

Graduate degree in public policy or related field will be a plus but not required

Background in telecommunications will be a plus but not required

Strong skills in working with Microsoft tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access), Crystal Ball and other decision tools

Must be able to communicate and present effectively English/Spanish bilingual fluency is a plus
GIS Analyst
Responsible for performing geographic information needs assessment for complex telecommunications-related projects. Duties include designing spatial data coverage and associated databases, mapping assets, designing and ecommending workflow to create and maintain spatial data. Responsible for assisting in capacity planning for data storage, processing and networking impact of GIS applications and creating metadata.

Advanced knowledge of GIS software

Background in telecommunications is a strong plus but not required

Training, experience and understanding of GIS data structure linkage to relational databases and image formats and characteristics

Advanced knowledge and expertise in GIS programming and customization techniques

Knowledge of geography as applied to the concepts and principles of GIS, map projections, datums, coordinate systems and cartographic designs

Understanding of research methodology and ability to formulate ideas and present reports clearly and concisely
Senior Network Engineer
Responsible for analyzing and designing complex networks based on FTTx and other wired architectures. Specific responsibilities may include providing expert-level design and engineering for major infrastructure projects, maintaining and update engineering records including network maps, IP allocation records, and wavelength plans, monitoring utilization trends and performing capacity planning, designing underlying data and fiber network transport to support data, voice and video applications, developing configuration files for all devices required for new technology deployments, advising clients on the vendor selection process for network hardware, software and services, and developing bills of materials and detailed project plans for new infrastructure projects.
Qualifications

B.S. or equivalent in a relevant engineering or technology field preferred

5+ years of relevant experience in the telecommunications industry, military, municipal or large enterprise environment; 3+ years of design and troubleshooting complex large scale TCP/IP networks

Strong written and verbal communication skills

In-depth knowledge and strong engineering/operating experience in the area's of Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS), VPN's, Optical Networking, Layer 2 and Layer 3 QOS, VLAN, OSPF, BGP, and HSRP
-
In-depth knowledge of access technologies (FTTH, DSL, DOCSIS, MetroEthernet) and transport technologies (Ethernet, DWDM, ATM, Frame Relay, SONET, ROADM)
